SINGER AND FORMER Disney star Demi Lovato stripped off for a new series of photos by Vanity Fair – but it’s no ordinary nude photoshoot.

Lovato gave photographer Patrick Ecclesine three rules to work by: “No makeup, no clothes, no retouching.”

It may look like your average racy photoshoot, but Lovato told Vanity Fair that there’s a deeper, more personal level to it for her.

Lovato has been open about her battles with eating disorders and drug addictions during her teens, and says the photoshoot only happened because she’s finally comfortable with her body:

…I basically went from hating every single inch of my body to working on myself and trying to figure out ways to love myself, love the skin that I’m in. I learned, after working very hard on my spirituality, my soul, and my body, I learned that…I can love the skin I’m in. And I’m excited to share that with the world.
