AS WHITE HOUSE Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders has her work cut out for her.
And since yesterday, she’s been firing on all cylinders as she attempts to explain away the fact that President Donald Trump believes you need an ID to purchase groceries in the United States.
Speaking at a rally in Tampa, Florida, Trump asserted:
You know, if you go out and you want to buy groceries, you need a picture on a card, you need ID. You go out and you want to buy anything, you need ID and you need your picture.
Naturally, this was (fake) news to the press and public who have been merrily doing their big shop every week without so much as a thought for their ID.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders deflected queries on the potential reasons behind Trump’s misinformation on the subject, insisting that the President was correct in saying you needed ID at the grocery store… if you’re buying alcohol.
