Emma Watson has this to say to people giving out about her 'unfeminist' photoshoot

“I really don’t know what my t*ts have to do with feminism.”

EARLIER THIS WEEK, actress Emma Watson was revealed as the cover star of the latest issue of Vanity Fair.

Some people decided to take issue with the accompanying shoot by photographer Tim Walker, particularly this picture of Watson wearing a jacket with a sheer top underneath:

Journalist Julia Hartley-Brewer pointed to the photo as a reason why feminists cannot be taken seriously – Watson, as an ambassador for UN Women, shouldn’t be getting her boobs out.

Everyone knows that to be true feminist, you must be an amorphous blob with absolutely no discernible breasts whatsoever. That’s three years of women’s rights work in the dust, Emma. Hope you’re happy.

Watson’s response to the critics? Leave my boobs out of this, thanks.

“It always just reveals to me how many misconceptions there is about feminism,” Watson said in an interview with Reuters yesterday.

Feminism is about giving women choice! Feminism is not a stick to beat other women with! It’s about freedom, it’s about liberation, it’s about equality. I really don’t know what my t*ts have to do with it.

“I’m confused. Most people are confused. I’m always just… quietly stunned,” she said.

Her co-star Dan Stevens chimed in to voice his own befuddlement: “They were saying you couldn’t be a feminist and have boobs?”

Basically, yes. Turtlenecks from now on if you want to be taken seriously, gals.
