A young fan dressed up as his favourite jockey at the Galway Races and had the best reaction when he won

And he even got to meet his hero after.

WEDNESDAY WAS A good day for Cork jockey Davy Russell, who took home the prestigious Galway Plate on Balko Des Flos at the Galway Races.

But it was even better day for a young fan in the crowd… who came dressed as Davy, in the same colour silks, and was there to witness the glorious moment.

The Sky ‘At The Races’ cameras, who have picking up so many good moments in Galway all week, caught the young lad’s reaction to the win on camera

And the lovely moment has gone viral on Facebook

You can see him make eye contact with the jockey

It almost looks like Russell points at him while riding past too.

The jockey even went down to meet his biggest fan after the victory

PA named him as “young racegoer Alan Jordan” and he looked like he had some day out
