GIVEN CHANNEL 4′S First Dates has been on for years at this stage, they have the luxury of being able to bring people back for another go if they weren’t lucky in love the first time around.
And last night we were re-introduced to Mehmet.
He had a rough time of it on his first appearance last year
His date told him that she was into “bad boys” and Mehmet couldn’t be further from that

This time, sticking to his non-bad boy guns, he turned up with some flowers

Leanne arrived into the First Dates restaurant
She was looking for a “nice, caring guy who understands me”
Ding ding ding.
People were getting good vibes early on, but we’ve been heartbroken before – so nobody was getting complacent
Leanne hadn’t been having a great time of it either – as she hadn’t been in a relationship in seven years:
“I might just start buying the cats now”

Things were wrapping up at dinner, and we got our first insight into how this was going:
“He’s different from my normal type in that he seems like he’s a grown up… I did think there was a spark… I definitely felt there was a connection”
And when the moment of decision came, it was a unanimous yes
