This brilliant sign welcoming visitors to wintry Helsinki has gone viral

“Nobody in their right mind would come to Helsinki in November”

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE in Helsinki, Finland between December and February is a frosty -4 degrees.

So if you were visiting there last month – the start of the snow season – you’d be expecting it to be seriously cold.

And, helpfully, there was a massive sign welcoming people to the Slush conference, Helsinki last week

Last night, the photo of the brutally honest sign was posted to Imgur – and it’s since gone extremely viral.

Shout out to Finland for having the craic

The startup event ran at the end of last week, and people were only loving the sign

The original post on Imgur and elsewhere on Twitter have mis-reported that the sign is at Helsinki airport

But it’s the Slush conference that deserves the plaudits

Best motto ever😂
