This car owner is advertising their dodgy old Fiat in a brilliantly honest way

“This car has genuinely ruined my life.”

NEED YET MORE proof that honesty is the best policy? Here it is.

This British car owner put their 2008 Fiat 500 on eBay for the knockdown price of £900, but they’re not trying to pretend it’s a great car – not at all.

In fact, the seller is perfectly honest about the car that “genuinely ruined [their] life”.

The Fiat’s litany of faults include bad suspension, a dodgy brake cable and two worn-out seatbelts, as well as some exterior damage.

“I’ve pretty much had it with this car,” the owner writes. “It’s an easy fix and it only has 90,000 miles on the clock.”

In all fairness… It’s never let me down, except for the upcoming MOT, and we’ve shared some good memories. My puppy puking everywhere in it, being pulled over for drink driving when I was actually just driving and dancing to Kate Bush erratically, and getting a 6ft children’s slide into it. Impressive, I know.
If you’re a dad reading this, I think it’s a good buy for your teenager as it will teach them patience. They also won’t be able to go over 80mph without it sounding like they’re going to break down.

“But seriously, I think this is for a mechanic that can do it up and make a big profit margin. It just needs a little love and I can’t give it to it because I f**king hate the thing.”

Far from harming their chances at selling the car, the seller’s honesty has attracted 32 bids so far – and the price currently stands at £2,250.

Fair play.
