Moone Boy and Mrs Brown's Boys among Irish nominated for TV BAFTAs

Who’ll be a winner?

THE TELEVISION BAFTA nominations have been announced today, and the Irish are well represented indeed.

Graham Norton is yet again up for Entertainment Performance for The Graham Norton Show, while actors James Nesbitt has a leading actor nod for his role in The Missing. Stephen Rea’s role in The Honourable Woman has secured him a supporting actor nomination, while Brendan O’Carroll is up for best male performance in a comedy for Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas Special.

Chris O’Dowd’s Moone Boy is also in the running for best situation comedy in the ceremony, which will take place in London, May 10.

Happy Valley, Marvellous, The Missing and Line of Duty all lead with three nominations each, while Olivia Coleman and Benedict Cumberbatch round off their annual nomination streak with best actor and actress nods.
