OVER THE WEEKEND – just as other countries were realising that it’s getting towards BBQ time of the year – the weather in this part of the world wasn’t quite there yet.
So, somebody in the UK shared a photo to Reddit of what their typical BBQ looks like.
And it, of course, featured an umbrella
Not to be outdone, an Irish person posted an insight into our own hellish experience with BBQs for the world to see – and it was so much worse.
It’s gone super viral overnight
Titled “Irish BBQ’s are worse”, the image has been viewed nearly half a million times and it’s so much more grim than the original UK one.
Let’s examine the scene to appreciate its true awfulness:
- he’s wearing a full raincoat
- and a hat that was clearly found on the floor before he braved the weather
- he’s tactically opening the BBQ to flip the food before scurrying back inside
World, welcome to an Irish summer. It’s not pretty.
