EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity news from the top to the very bottom.
Channing Tatum and Jessie J are ALREADY discussing marriage.
It seems as though the pair haven’t been linked to one another a wet day, but in actuality, they were first seen together five months ago – back in October. They haven’t officially made their relationship public, but there’s been some low-key PDA at various events over the last few months.
A source told New! magazine that the two of them are obsessed with each other, and that their “relationship has been going from strength to strength lately, which has really taken their friends by surprise. In fact, things have got so serious they’ve even discussed getting hitched, which isn’t too surprising when you consider that Channing is a really mature guy who knows exactly what he wants. He’s been married before so it’s not a scary topic for him and he’s certainly not afraid of commitment.” (via Goss.ie)
After we all witnessed Katie Price come very close to bankruptcy in the last few months, she seems like the last person we’d want to take financial advice from, and yet…
The 40-year-old has been sharing some money saving tips via #SponCon on Instagram, where she’s been promoting prepay gas and electricity. This is a woman who racked up £2.1 million in debt before filing for bankruptcy last year. Does she really expect us to believe prepay electricity can help you dig yourself out of a hole like that?
Some of her followers were quick to point this out, while others defended her and said, “If you were in the same boat, would you not try to rebuild your life for yourself and your children?” A few months ago, Katie used her reality TV show to tell fans, “I’ve got some good news. You know how I like to prove people wrong?”
All this stuff about bankruptcy. I’ve had my call today and guess what? I’m not going bankrupt.
Apparently, she only has to pay back 41% of her total debts, which amounts to less than £900,000. (Metro)
Cardi B plans to pen a book about her life at some stage in the future.
On an Instagram Live video, the rapper told fans:
Everybody always trying to make excuse of me. Always everything, ‘Cardi this, Cardi that, Cardi’s a terrible person.’ Let me tell you something. I’m a rapper. I’m a bitch that came from the streets that came to the industry. I wasn’t a Disney channel star. I wasn’t a nun. I wasn’t a saint. I never was a saint, OK? I’m a good-hearted person, but I have done some fucked up shit. Y’all don’t have to worry about it. Y’all don’t gotta tell my story. You wanna know why you don’t gotta tell my story? Because I’m gonna write a book about my life.
Cardi added, “I’ve been through a lot of shit. I’ve been a bitch from young bein’ in the streets. I got influenced by the streets.” About a week ago, Cardi landed her first film role in the movie Hustlers alongside Constance Wu and Jennifer Lopez, so maybe she really means it when she says she’s going to branch out into the world of literature. Hustlers will tell the story of a group of strippers who scam Wall Street workers. (NME)
