YOU CAN FIGHT it as much as you like, but it’s now official; the festive season is upon us.
But how can we say for sure, says you.
Well, the John Lewis Christmas ad has landed, that’s how.
Famed for their tearjerking festive offerings, the retailer has this year collaborated with Elton John, and as a result Twitter is in a war over words over it.
It’s here! This year’s Christmas ad, as launched by our Partners, featuring the wonderful @EltonOfficial 🌟🚀 #EltonJohnLewis 🎹 pic.twitter.com/x2ZxO4ghDy

The ad charts the meteoric rise of the veteran performer with Your Song acting as the ad’s soundtrack, but Twitter users are debating whether the commercial is an advertisement for the store or a promo for Elton John’s farewell tour.
Love that John Lewis Christmas advert. Best one yet for me. #JohnLewisChristmasAd

Not sure about the #Johnlewis advert. Is it promotion for John Lewis or #Eltonjohn 🤔

To be fair, the final scene does perfectly depict the magic of Christmas morning, no?
So, is it a yay or nay from you?
