Kim Kardashian has inspired tons of people to take naked selfies for body positivity

It’s a bit NSFW in here. Just warning you.

EVEN SEASONED INTERNET-breaker Kim Kardashian couldn’t have predicted the storm her naked selfie cooked up this week, with celebrities like Piers Morgan and Chloe Grace Moretz all piling on to tell her to cover herself up.

Kim was moved to write a blog post in response to the vitriol, saying:

I will not live my life dictated by the issues you have with my sexuality. I am a mother. I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, an entrepreneur, and I am allowed to be sexy.

While the backlash has been strong, Kim has a solid army of followers (including husband Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend Amber Rose) who will defend her to the last. And if that means posting naked selfies of their own in support of body positivity, so be it.

Sharon Osbourne was the first to don the black bars in solidarity:

Then there was model Emily Ratajkowski:

And a whole load of regular folk of various shapes and sizes joined in too under the #liberated hashtag (inspired by this tweet) on Instagram.

STOP slut shaming, STOP body policing, STOP passing judgement, be kind, be peaceful, stay in your fucking lane. i got so mad about everything that all i could think to do was take this selfie, because i would rather be naked and outspoken than complicit in my own dehumanisation. if you see posting nudity as attention seeking and can't see the connection between posting photos of your OWN body + taking control over that body, then BYE #liberated Instagram / littlestarthings Instagram / littlestarthings / littlestarthings

Oh, let’s not forget the dogs.

#TeamKim are a gutsy bunch. We’ll give them that.
