This violinist mistakenly accepting an award will make you full-body cringe

The presenter actually said the name of another violinist. Nightmare.

THE PRESTIGIOUS QUEEN Elisabeth Competition, in which the world’s greatest instrumentalists battle it out, took place in Brussels late last month.

South Korean violinist Lee Ji Yoon was understandably delighted when she took the stage to collect a prize:


But she didn’t actually win. The presenter had really said the name of another, similarly-named violinist, Lim Ji Young…


…Leaving poor Lee Ji Yoon to scuttle off stage, dying of embarrassment. We’ve all been there.

Thankfully, Lee Ji Yoon can see the funny side now, telling a Belgian news website:
