The Lion King goes to the Gaeltacht

Colaiste Lurgan are at it again.

OKAY COLÁISTE LURGAN, we get it.  You’re talented.

The Connemara Gaeltacht which brought us Get Lucky, and a take on the movie Pitch Perfect, has now taken on The Lion King.

We’re not so sure about translating the intro out of Zulu though.  IS NOTHING SACRED?

This time around, they have some competition.

Not content to let Lurgan have all the glory, Coláiste Gael Linn in Mayo have now gotten in on the video action with their version of Passenger’s omnipresent Let Her Go.


Good effort Gael Linn.  Is anyone else predicting a television series pitching various irish colleges against each other, to see who has the most talented students?

It can only be a matter of time.

Anything Hollywood can do, the gaeltacht can do better>
