LIKE THE QUIFF and the short-back-and-sides before it, the man bun is the newest, hottest hair trend for men.

We all started off on good terms, but recently we reached man bun saturation point. The tide is turning. Here’s why.

Firstly, these are man buns

A good man bun should be full, thick, and sort of scraggly and bohemian-looking.

He told the Irish Independent earlier this year that he was man-bunning long before it was in fashion:

I couldn’t do anything day-to-day without my hair getting in my mouth or my eyes or my food, so I just started tying it back, long before I knew what a man bun was.
