FOUR YEARS AGO the first Marcel the Shell with Shoes On became a viral online hit after it was posted by comedian Jenny Slate and her (then boyfriend, now husband) Dean Fleischer Camp.
Why? Because it was just so damn cute.
The film ended up as part of the official selection for the Sundance Film Festival and has racked up 23.5 million views on YouTube.
Slate and Fleischer Camp produced another Marcel film in 2011, and now they’re back with a third to help promote their first Marcel book The Most Surprised I’ve Ever Been.
