New Maynooth University sign lasts ONE night before being wrecked

This is why we can’t have nice things.

NUI MAYNOOTH HAS changed it name to Maynooth University, and it’s got a snazzy new sign to celebrate.

Unfortunately, the sign lasted a total of one night before being reduced to this:

The crimes against the sign started several days ago when some rogue made off with a ‘t’:

When the (mostly new) students began arriving to college en masse for orientation week it then took just one night to bring it to its knees.

A spokesperson for the university told that the institution is not making any comment at the moment as an investigation is ongoing, but did confirm that a sign had been damaged.

The sign has now been completely removed.
