CONTOURING, OR the sculpting of the face using makeup, was the definitive trend of 2015. But the time of just contouring your face has passed. Now, we’re on to neck contouring.
The method was devised by the Instagram account MWHairstyles – they say it’s for creating ‘slimmer, more graceful looking updo’ hairstyles.

The makeup artist first uses a dark brown shade to sculpt the sides of her neck…
…then fills in the middle with a lighter highlight colour, creating a more streamlined neck.
The video was shared earlier this week by hugely popular beauty blogger (and contouring queen) Huda Kattan, where it has been liked over 75,000 times.
Unsurprisingly, not everyone is on board with spending their precious time trying to paint in the back of their necks:
