IN AN APPEARANCE on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, Niall Horan shared a pretty humorous story about himself and Ed Sheeran.
After a concert in San Jose, Niall Horan was joined by Ed Sheeran and rapper Logic on his tour bus, and the group lads agreed that they’d go out for a drink in San Francisco. On the way, they had an Irish themed predrinks session on Niall’s tour bus:
We decided before we got on the bus, probably because Ed’s got ginger hair, but we decided we were going to have ‘Irish Night’ on the bus.
Niall said that in the end, it turned out Ed knew more about Ireland than any of Niall’s Irish crew on the bus. We’re really not surprised.
Horan then told Jimmy Fallon that the bus almost had an accident when it had to brake very suddenly to avoid a car.
We’re going along, just leaving the venue, and some car pulls out in front of our bus. We were all there, having beers, listening to these jiggy Irish songs and some car pulls in front of us. Obviously, we can’t see through the windows, but our bus just slams on its brakes.
I go flying, and we’re all laying on top of each other. It was weird. I hit my nose off the top of a bottle of beer – very aggressive. Beer absolutely everywhere.

After the beer got everywhere, Ed needed a lend of a t-shirt to wear out once the bus arrived in San Francisco. Niall went down to have a look in his suitcase.
[Ed] starts trying on my jackets. Ed’s about my height, but he’s a little bit broader in the shoulders so nothing would fit him. Then he goes “What’s that?”
Ed pointed to a hockey jersey that Niall had been given a few weeks earlier.
I was at a Boston Bruins game and they gave me a Boston Bruins home shirt with Horan 17 on the back of it, and that was the only thing that Ed could wear.
So in the end, Ed Sheeran and Niall Horan went on a night out where Ed wore a giant Niall Horan hockey jersey. Niall shared a photo from the night to Instagram, with the caption “Up the lads!” Oh Niall.
