Operation Transformation viewers bid an emotional goodbye to Jean following pregnancy announcement

It was one seriously emotional episode.

OPERATION TRANSFORMATION VIEWERS last night learned that Jean Tierney would be leaving the process during an emotional interview with Kathryn Thomas where she revealed that she was seven weeks pregnant.

Jean had previously disclosed that she had a baby daughter named Sloane, who died at five days old following an ectopic pregnancy, and that she has also suffered a miscarriage in 2018.

Discussing her decision to speak candidly with the show’s host, Jean said:

It is very early. While it is not the norm to be telling people before 12 weeks, we are telling people because there were two options on the programme.

“I could have disappeared from the show, but there would have been a lot of speculation or I don’t know what and that would cause me a lot of stress,” she added.

The episode, which many viewers said brought them to tears, allowed Jean to reflect on her decision to announce the pregnancy, leave the show and consider the dialogue that surrounds miscarriage.

For me, this is the way to do it. I didn’t feel it was right to hide away or shy away because there is nothing to be ashamed of.

“You almost should have felt ashamed if you’re pregnant or if you have lost a child and we need to change that,” she said.

Here’s how fellow leaders and viewers reacted to Jean’s news.
