LISTEN: Former Green Party TD Paul Gogarty has a new song!

‘My heart is pumping and my feet are jumping…’

FORMER GREEN PARTY TD, Paul Gogarty, never fails to entertain.

After all, he gave us one of the most memorable moments in Irish parliamentary history.

You’re going to watch that again, aren’t you?  It’s almost impossible to only watch once.

Since his departure from politics, Paul has followed his passion and begun a career in music.

Under the stage name, His Sweet Surprise (not at all creepy), he released his debut single Wishing on a Photograph last August.

Remember?  It’s the one with the video where he gets kidnapped, shot, drinks coloured liquids given to him by a witch and sings on the beach?

Now, he’s got a new EP on the way and we’ve finally been given the opportunity to hear some of it.

The song Paul has made public is called Radio (When I Listen To), and if you don’t mind us saying, there’s a bang of Eurovision off it.  Could this be His Sweet Surprise’s master plan?  Could we see former Green Party TD Paul Gogarty representing us at next year’s contest?  We can only hope.

The song is also a bit of a love letter to the radio – the cynical among us might suggest he’s angling for airplay there.

When I listen to the radio, the radio, my heart is pumping and my feet are jumping, radio, radio, the music’s playing and my head is swaying…

You can listen to the song for yourself, as well as a couple of remixes (very important), here.

We await the video for Radio (When I Listen T0) with bated breath.
