Room with a view

This guest house in Dingle was named the best B&B in Ireland and the views are spectacular

Casual gawk at the Atlantic when you wake up.

YESTERDAY, TRIPADVISOR REVEALED its ‘Travellers Choice’ for the best hotels in Ireland and around the world.

Harvey’s Point in Donegal won the top award for Ireland for the fifth year running, but it was Pax Guest House in Dingle that came out on top in the smaller competition – the best B&Bs and Inns.

And the views from the rooms are straight up stunning

Overlooking the Atlantic on the east side of Dingle, Pax came out ahead of 24 other smaller guest houses and B&Bs to take the top national award picked by people who’ve actually stayed.

You can’t beat that view on a clear day

And the windows are set up with that view in mind

And given they came top in the TripAdvisor awards, it’s no surprise that the reviews are glowing – like this one from December last year:

Pax House is hands down the best B&B we’ve ever stayed at. First, the house and our room were great. The decor and modernizations strike a great balance and make for a very relaxing stay. Then, there’s the breakfast – AMAZING! I could ramble on about how great the food was ad nauseam, but throw in breathtaking views on top of it and it makes for a morning you wish wouldn’t end.

The viewing area takes advantage of the scenery

Which looks just as good at night

Molly the cat and Rio the dog are permanent guests, giving it that homey feel that you don’t get in a bigger hotel

Waking up to this wouldn’t be the worst thing ever
