Man spends four years making star-studded proposal video for his girlfriend

He roped in Ed Sheeran, Ronan Keating and Nile Rodgers, to name but a few.

SOPHIE HANCOCK AND JIM MacAulay from Birmingham have been dating for 12 years and finally, over Christmas, Jim asked her to marry him.

But he wasn’t just going to do just any old proposal – he enlisted the likes of Ed Sheeran, Cee-Lo Green, Nile Rodgers and our own Ronan Keating to help persuade her to say yes (and of course, she did).

Warning: Do not watch if you’re feeling in any way bitter about the amount of couples you know getting engaged this Christmas.

According to the Daily Mail, it took Jim FOUR YEARS to find Sophie’s favourite celebs and get them to take part in the video. That is dedication.

Unfortunately, we do notice that he has mistaken Bob Geldof for Midge Ure. Is that a dealbreaker, Sophie? We hope not.
