Irish people, what do you call Santa Claus -- Santa or Santy?

Help settle the debate.

WE’RE JUST SIX days away from Christmas and you know what that means – only a few more sleeps before Santa Claus arrives!

Of course, he’s not known as Santa Claus to everyone — there is a sizable contingent of Irish people who refer to him as Santy.

(We’re just really good mates with him, you see.)

The Irish people are the only ones in all Christmas history given the privilege of calling Santa Claus by his little known nickname, "Santy"
