BRITAIN’S ANDY MURRAY won an Olympic gold yesterday, on the court and in our hearts.
It’s Andy’s second gold, having beat Argentina’s Juan Martin Del Porto in a four hour match. Phew.
He’s the first man to win two gold Olympic medals in a row, a fact which he was happy to bring up when the BBC’s John Inverdale seemed to forget that women exist.
He was told he was the first person to win two Olympic tennis gold medals, so Andy jumped in to correct him
Venus and Serena have won four each.
People were thankful for the correction, even Harry Potter author JK Rowling
Now, we can all finally forget his disastrous stint with the Team GB flag
