Like, it would go down a storm. We could see it working, the marrying of two of Ireland’s most beloved brands. A joyous union. SO STOP TOYING WITH OUR EMOTIONS!
Supermac’s and Coppers have teamed up to produce of the most believable April Fools’ pranks of 2016.
The details provided by both parties are delightful, particularly the quotes from Supermac’s founder Pat McDonagh and Copper Face Jacks owner Cathal Jackson:
I myself have often tried to get into Coppers and at my age this is the only way they’ll allow me in.
Just last week I was asked by a Guard from Clare in the nightclub ‘Where is the nearest Supermac’s?’ Now, we will only have to point customers towards the Supermac’s branch in our Premium Bar where they can end their night the ‘traditional Irish way’!
Details like burgers with an “additional bun for extra soakage”, “entry and meal deals” and free Curry Cheese Chips for Gold Card holders only add to the charm. Not to mention McDonagh’s claim that it will “almost guarantee them the shift”.

General consensus is that this idea could definitely fly and it should happen. “They’d make a fortune” and “why is this only a prank” come the cries from all corners.
