Mischievous swan holds up traffic on the Samuel Beckett Bridge

Not a bother on him.

WELL THIS GUY has some neck.

A stray swan caused a bit of a ruckus on Samuel Beckett Bridge in Dublin this afternoon, waddling around like it owned the place, forcing southbound traffic to overtake them through the bus lane.

It’s certainly not an isolated incident, as swans have been known to terrorise the bridge as far back as 2010.

This swan’s timing motives remain unclear. Is it protesting the possibility of a U2 video being shot on its turf? Or did it just want to secure front row seats for tomorrow’s HARP Fringe performance?

As a lady promptly ushered the disruptive swan back into the Liffey, the mystery remains.

Thanks Ruth for the video!
