wtf is a tiddlytubby

The Teletubbies had children at some stage and the internet is very freaked out

There’s something very eerie about that purple one that looks into your soul

NOBODY HAS CHECKED in on the Teletubbies in a while.

Why would we? It’s been a very long time since this generation has found Teletubbies entertaining.

That’s why people were pretty shocked when Twitter user @lyenkrenz tuned in and made a very strange discovery. While they were left unsupervised over the hills and far away, the Teletubbies appear to have procreated.

They live in a separate area to the grown Teletubbies which resembles a creche and the grown Teletubbies regularly visit them and see what they’re up to.

The Teletubbies website reveals the identity of the baby Teletubbies. They are called ‘Tiddlytubbies’.

Were the Teletubbies not supposed to be babies themselves? How can these clumsy and hapless fools raise children of their own? When did the children even arrive?

Was there a build up or were they just placed in the story one day without comment or explanation? (Like when Eastenders randomly just change the actor who plays Ben Mitchell every time they get bored.)

Teletubbies HQ have introduced each Tiddlytubby to us by name over on their Twitter.

Why do all of their names sound like Tony Cantwell is offering them a soft drink? Nin, do you want a soft drink? I’m only going to nip out once.

Is RuRu a nod at the surge in popularity of drag culture?

It’s bad enough trying to remember the original Teletubbies names, how are children expected to learn eight more?

According to Cosmopolitan, the tots are mostly left unsupervised until a ‘voice trumpet’ announces “Time for Tiddlytubbies”, which really excites the grown Teletubbies. Is that like a dinner bell? Are the Teletubbies raising the Tiddlytubbies for food?

Baa, who can be seen in his yellow swing is apparently a ‘bit of a loner’, which is kind of sad. Why don’t his siblings like him? Is he hiding something?

People are really confused by the whole situation.

The situation is making some people feel old, but others are just downright scared.

Why is the purple one making perfect eye contact with us? There’s something chilling about these new babies and the dozens of questions that they raise. Is this even a kids show anymore?
