Can you smell what The Rock is cooking?

A career in politics, that’s what.

The paperwork was filed on behalf of the actor by a West Virginian man named Kenton Tilford, according to The Hill, whose ties to Johnson are unclear at present.

The move has been on the cards for a while, supposedly. He told Vanity Fair he “wouldn’t rule it out” when it came to him running for POTUS in 2010, saying it would be “a great opportunity to help people.”

A couple of months later, he responded on Instagram to a piece in the Washington Post which assessed his chances of winning, in the event that he ran.

I care DEEPLY about our country … And the idea of one day becoming President to create real positive impact and global change is very alluring. Buuuuut until that possible day, the most important thing right now is strong honest leadership from our current and future leaders of this country.”

He’s also done a whole skit on the prospect of running on Saturday Night Live before, because he’s gas.

Listen – if Trump can do it, I fancy his chances tbh.

No word yet on whether Seamus will be throwing his hat in.
