PLANNING A WEDDING is stressful. Between getting together all the bits and bobs, and keeping everyone happy, it’s a lot to deal with.
A few months ago, Wicklow woman Eleanor Jordan was on the hunt for a campervan for her wedding day. At a loose end, she decided to ask TXFM’s Joe Donnelly to do a shout-out on air to see if anyone might let her borrow or rent theirs.
Donnelly and TXFM decided to go one better and offered to let Jordan borrow the official TXFM Campervan for the special day.
HURRAY!
Fast forward to a few months later when Donnelly went to pick up the campervan… only to find that it wouldn’t start.
Disaster.
The gang called the nearest mechanic to where the campervan was parked and Dave Tolan of DT Motors dropped by to check it out.
Upon hearing that it was due to play a special part in Eleanor’s wedding day, Tolan offered to fix it for free.
D’aw.
And yesterday, Donnelly put on a chauffeur’s hat and brought the lovely bride to the chapel.
Amazing.
