Twitter is adamant that Cheryl mimed on the X Factor last night

The judge performed her new single I Don’t Care. Or ‘performed’. We’re not sure.

THE TALKING POINT of last night’s X Factor results show is not, as it turns out, the contestants themselves. Nope, today Our Cherrdyl is in the firing line.

Cheryl (Tweedy/Cole/Fernandez-Versini) took a break from judging duties last night to perform her new single, I Don’t Care.

Despite looking fabulous and dancing her heart out, people were not impressed with her singing – or lack thereof.

Yes, in what may be a complete shock to many, Twitter is abuzz with accusations of Cheryl miming to a pre-recorded track. Which a lot of people feel is a bit rich, considering she judges others on their vocal abilities every week.

Some Cheryl fans are taking direct inspiration from the song and saying “I don’t care”:

The official X Factor YouTube account hasn’t uploaded a video of the performance yet (interesting) but you can watch it here.

The criticism is probably water off a duck’s back to Cheryl anyway – as the song went straight to number one on iTunes after the show. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
