18 photos of Christmas lights around Ireland looking glorious this week

It’s December tomorrow. Let it snow.

IT’S OFFICIALLY DECEMBER tomorrow – which means that the Christmas lights can now legitimately be enjoyed without fear of the festive naysayers.

And the displays around the country are looking WELL:

1. Here’s the view of the Glow Cork Christmas lights

2. And Quay Street in Galway is looking so Christmassy you’d want to wrap it up

3. As is the massive Christmas tree beside the ferris wheel

4. The Henry Street lights in Dublin stretch as far as the eye can see

5. And the tree is up on O’Connell Street across the road

6. Even the buildings are glittering in Limerick – to go with the street lights

7. Donegal town has gone all out

8. As has Belfast City Hall <3

9. There’s a Christmas carousel in Waterford

10. And look at the parade in Kilkenny

11. Dun Laoghaire’s festive lights are class – despite the rumours

12. And Athlone is glowing in the cold winter night

13. Wexford town is looking appropriately Christmassy

14. As is Main Street in Killarney

15. Mullingar is going for the criss-cross effect this year

16. While Castelbar in Mayo have done up the trees

17. Sligo town’s monster tree is fully lit

18. And Grafton Street in Dublin is typically impressive
