Dad's plan to replace his daughter's vodka with water backfires completely

In a way he could never have anticipated.

A DAD WHO just wanted to get a little revenge on his biscuit-thieving daughter had his plan thwarted in the strangest way.

On the Today, I F**ked Up sub-Reddit, user Bob_Slefty wrote that he wanted to get back at his teenage daughter for stealing his favourite biscuits.

He decided to get back at her by replacing the vodka she had recently purchased for a night out with water. Thinking he had just pulled off a great trick, he waited for her to text or call him asking where her vodka went.

This is what happened instead:

The next day, when she came back, I asked her how her evening had gone. “Oh,” she replied. “It was weird… We had some vodka but when we drank it, it was water!” Grinning to myself but giving her my very serious dad’s face, I asked what they had done.
“Well,” she said. “We just took it back to Tesco and they replaced it with a new bottle for us.”

“WTF Tescos? A bunch of teenagers come in with a bottle of water and you replace that with a bottle of vodka?” he continued.

To prove his story, he offered this letter of apology from Tesco, which arrived a few days after the incident:

Frankly, this sets an alarming precedent. We do hope no one would abuse it.
