IF THERE IS one Irish personality that remains free of controversy and consistently spreads joy, it’s Daniel O’Donnell.
Whether he’s enjoying some mackerel and red pesto, breaking the internet in the Falkland Islands, or just touring B&Bs on our tellies, it’s rare that wee Daniel isn’t offering us some kind of wholesome entertainment.
His website doesn’t let us down on that front either.
When you arrive, you’re greeted with a nice welcome message. You can just hear it in his voice. Good start.
It is actually updated on a regular basis, believe it or not. The tour section has all of his up coming concerts as far as May 2018. They’re very on top of things at Daniel O’Donnell HQ.
One of the best parts of the site is the gallery section.
You can see Daniel mingling with all of the stars. From Shrek:

There are also a few other people of interest. Majella and Daniel hung out with the late Maureen O’Hara.
And Robbie Williams.
The highlight of this section however, is this photo of Daniel with Niall Quinn and Chris Kamara from Sky Sports.
It was accidentally uploaded as a screenshot from an iPad, so we can get a glimpse of what Daniel was up to in his other tabs. As you would expect from a person worth €31 million, he was looking up Aer Lingus flights and ‘Unique luxury villa, Las’.
There are also some nice holiday photos, including one of him cleaning out his pool in Tenerife.

In the ‘About Daniel’ section, you learn that there is far more to the singer than most people would expect.
He grew up in Kincasslagh in a home with no toilet and no running water. When he was only six-years-old, his father died of a heart attack. Before his career singing worked out, he wanted to become either a teacher or a bank worker. He uses this section to address the common perception of him being a bit of a ‘mammy’s boy’.
I suspect people have the impression that my mother kept me hanging onto her apron strings when I was a kid, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I had great freedom. A terrific childhood, the same as everyone else in our area.
He also started working at the age of nine, earning 2 pounds a week working in a general store. There is at least 30 minutes worth of entertainment on this site, learning the most bizarre facts about Daniel O’Donnell.

O’Donnell also offers fans the opportunity to stay in his Missouri home if they’re ever visiting that part of the States.
Because of the frequency of Daniels visits to Branson in the USA, he decided to buy a log cabin in the Thousand Hills resort. When he is in Branson he stays in the cabin but when he is not there, his cabin is available to rent for holiday periods.The cabin is very comfortable and homey and has lots of personal items and photographs of Daniel.
He then advises the reader to call Thousand Hills resort and ask to hire “Daniel O’Donnell’s Cabin”. Here’s how it looks:
You’d wonder how many times it has been booked, but knowing Daniel O’Donnell’s fans, it has probably been inhabited for every single second that he has been away from it.
