DAVID CAMERON ISN’T going to be let out to play after dinner if he’s not careful.
He appeared on the hugely popular Late Show with David Letterman which aired in the US last night, and was given a history pop quiz by the host.
Asked who wrote Rule Brittania, Cameron was left red-faced (here at TheJournal.ie towers we know those kinds of details off the tops of our heads. Ahem) and then he was unable to translate Magna Carta.
It means great charter. But you already knew that.
Cameron also had a dig at US politics, saying that in the UK political parties aren’t allowed to advertise on TV, which drew a cheer from the audience.

Cameron is the first sitting British prime minister to appear on Letterman, but not the first British politician.
