OH, MONDAYS.
They’re a slog at the best of times and a horror show at the worst of times.
For Londoner Ian K. Ellard, however, today was a particularly trying experience.
It started off normally enough. Just heading to get the Tube, you know yourself.
Ellard also happened to be carrying an apple cake around with him. Because why not?
Unfortunately, disaster struck when the pesky train doors closed and separated him from his beloved apple cake.
*shakes fist at sky*
The new lucky owner of the cake? An older gentleman in a suit and tie.

Unwilling to give up on his apple cake, Ian decided to board the next train and see if the apple cake had made it off the train
At this point, Ellard was feeling understandably melancholy.
When lo and behold…
THERE WAS HIS CAKE!
*does a little dance on the platform*
Mr. Big was pretty delighted, too…
“Well, I was already an hour late.”
