Kanye West

Kanye West finally came up with an answer for Jimmy Kimmel's question about Trump that left him speechless

It seems that he still does not know what he’s talking about.

ALTHOUGH IT FEELS as though several months have passed since Kanye West appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, in actuality, it has only been twenty days.

You may remember that during this interview, Jimmy Kimmel asked Kanye West a pretty good question.

Whether we like [Trump's] personality or not, his actions are really what matter. You so famously and so powerfully said “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.” It makes me wonder, what makes you think that Donald Trump does?

Quiet for once, with his arms folded, Kanye took a moment of deep consideration before Jimmy Kimmel decided to cut to an ad break.

In an interview on 107.5 WGCI Chicago, Kanye decided he was ready to answer the question.

Again, when the question was brought up, Kanye remained silent for an uncomfortable amount of time.

The atmosphere in the studio was like when a college lecturer asks someone (who very clearly had not done any reading in preparation for class) about their opinions on the reading.

Eventually, the 41-year-old rapper said, “I feel that [Trump] cares about the way black people feel about him, and he would like for black people to like him like they did when he was cool in the rap songs and all this.”

He will do the things that are necessary to make that happen because he’s got an ego like all the rest of us, and he wants to be the greatest president, and he knows that he can’t be the greatest president without the acceptance of the black community. So it’s something he’s gonna work towards, but we’re gonna have to speak to him.

Once again, there is no substance to anything Kanye is saying, but he appears to think that speaking really slowly will convince people that he said something really wise.

There’s nothing in that statement that suggests that Donald Trump cares about black people any more than George Bush did.

In a nutshell, what Kanye just said was that Donald Trump cares about getting an ego boost from black people in America. That’s not the same as caring about black people.
