This mam has been writing a joke on her daughter's lunch bag every day this year

And they are excellent.

A PRIMARY SCHOOL in the US introduced a rule earlier this year which meant that each child had to have their name written on their lunch when they brought it in.

So, as one mam explains on Imgur, this led to a daily tradition with her daughter Lilith:

This school year, my daughter had to have her name written on her lunch. I thought I would have some fun with it, so I wrote this on it the first day.
But then I couldn’t stop myself…

One joke wasn’t enough

She kept doing one each day – throwing in rather excellent references to her daughter’s favourite movies

And just generally gagging it up

She had to write her name on it anyway, why not have the craic?

Since the unnamed mamuploaded her album to Imgur, it’s exploded in popularity

Such commitment to the joke

She hasn’t revealed Lilith’s age – but you’d have to think she was in on the joke

Because if she’s not, these are fairly mortifying things to be carrying around

You have to applaud such lunch bag creativity

Probably makes those mornings just a little bit more tolerable
