CHICAGO NEWS STATION WGN-TV needed to film a smartphone user for a recent report on a new app.
The app, Expunge.io, is designed to help people get minor offences struck from their criminal record. To demonstrate how easy it was to access, the report captured a user typing the first few letters of the app into a search engine.
Alas, what was exposed was in fact the history and bookmarks of the owner of the smartphone, and top of the list was Pornhub Mobile. A savvy viewer captured a screengrab of the phone and posted it to Reddit, where it quickly reached the front page.
Poor local news reporter. Next time, think incognito.
