SINCE THE ANNOUNCEMENT of Nelson Mandela’s death last night, there have been waves of tributes to the anti-Apartheid politician on social media from celebrities and normal folk alike.

The Twitter account @DeletedTweets (who have now mysteriously deleted their account) posted a screengrab of this tweet reportedly from Paris Hilton, in which the socialite confuses Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr:

The tweet promptly went viral but if anyone had actually checked Hilton’s account at the time, it would have shown that the last tweet was about her landing in Miami.
