becky with the good hair

This fashion designer threw shade at Beyoncé on Instagram, and got destroyed for it

Mess with Beyonce at your peril.

IF YOU ARE a sentient human being, chances are that you’ve heard the news that Beyoncé released her sixth album last night.

Among other thing, the album addresses issues of marital infidelity, causing many to speculate whether Beyoncé is discussing her own marriage to Jay-Z.

One of the songs, Sorry, features the lyric, “He better call Becky with the good hair” and social media has been rife with speculation about who this so-called “Becky” might be.

There was even speculation that she might be referencing Taylor Swift.

But now it seems that Becky might have just given herself up.

Enter fashion designer Rachel Roy.

In the past, there have been murmurings about Rachel Roy’s friendship with rapper Jay-Z being too close for comfort. Indeed, it was reported in 2014 that Solange Knowles had an altercation with Roy at the Met Gala.

It looks like Solange Knowles’ elevator attack on Jay Z was not her first altercation on the night of the Met Gala last Monday, May 5. A source tells Us Weekly that Beyonce’s younger sister had yelled at designer Rachel Roy earlier at the after party, which was held at the Boom Boom Room in the Standard Hotel.
The source added that, during the disagreement, Beyonce “got in the middle of it,” though it remains unclear what it was about.

And now Roy has found herself at the centre of even more drama.

Last night, the designer shared the following photo on Instagram and captioned it, “Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. live in the light#nodramaqueens”

BECKY. GOOD HAIR. CAN’T BREATHE.

Now obviously this caption is open to interpretation — maybe she’s just proud of her hair! — but the timing is awfully shady.

The comments were duly invaded by die-hard Beyoncé fans and Roy has since set her account to private.

Never a dull moment, eh?
