Ronan Keating wants to be a rapper but does he have the credentials?

We would wager that he does lads. Honestly.

RONAN KEATING IS known for a few things but being a rapper is not one of them.

Chatting to The Irish Mirror this week he told them he’s very keen to work with Jay-Z.

The way we see it, Ronan is ready to step into the rap game and really take on the big boys.

And we reckon he has the credentials to do just that.

1. He knows style

Rappers know how to pull a look together, Kanye West, for example, is a fashion fiend:

And you know who else is?

Ronan Keating.

This is perfect rap chic if we’re being honest:

Beat that Jay-Z.

2. He has musical chops

Would you doubt the potential rap genius of someone who can rap Ice Ice Baby this well?

Ronan is showing them how it’s done:

3. Having friends in high places

Rappers know how to make connections.

If they’re not partying with A-list actors and fashion designers they’re chilling with the US President.

Don’t worry because Ronan is doing the same.

He has friends in high places for days.

Beat that P. Diddy.

4. Knowing that anguish is key to your art

Just a brief listen to most of Kanye West’s material shows that he knows how to make really personal art filled with anguish amongst all the bravado of his musical persona.

Who else can show this kind of anguish while performing?

Two words:

Ronan. Keating.

5. Being up on the latest technology

You know when you listen to a rap song and they list a pile of brand names and all the latest toys they have to remind you how far they’ve made it?

Well we’re waiting for the Ronan rap tune and his tale of how he was on that iPod buzz before the rest of us:

6.  Sport is an important past time

It’s not uncommon to see Jay-Z and a raft of celeb mates courtside at big basketball games:

Ronan Keating gets this too don’t you worry.

Ronan is into the cool sports.

Such as golf:

So there you have it.

We’re ready for the rap reinvention of Ronan Keating.
