EARLIER TODAY, IT was announced that Great British Bake Off’s Mary Berry would not be following the show to its new home on Channel 4, citing her loyalty to the BBC.
The news followed Mel and Sue’s announcement that they would not be staying with the show.
Unlike Mary Berry, Sue Perkins or Mel Giedroyc, however, Paul Hollywood has opted to stay with the show when it moves to Channel 4.
He confirmed his decision on Twitter today and stated that he was “staying in the tent with the bakers where I belong”.

Among those to lay into Paul Hollywood was former Great British Bake Off contestant Ruby Tandoh, who was a runner-up on the series back in 2013.
This afternoon, she laid into Paul Hollywood and accused him of being a ‘peacocking manchild’.

Tandoh and Hollywood have a storied history.
Back in 2013, Paul Hollywood denied rumours that Ruby was being favoured for her looks and insisted that he actually fancied her fellow GBBO contestant Kimberley more.
Personally I think Kimberley’s far prettier. With all the love in the world, Ruby’s not my type.

In 2015, Tandoh came out on Twitter and dismissed rumours that she had fancied Paul Hollywood or used her looks to get ahead on the show.
