Ryanair is getting rid of the landing trumpets

It’s a good day.

THEY ASKED, AND you answered. Thanksfully, you answered correctly.

Ryanair has announced today that it’s getting rid of those landing trumpets we’ve come to know and hate, to be replaced with…. what?

Last week the airline took to Twitter to ask if it should change its on-time music from…

DO DO DO DOOOOOO. Welcome! You have arrived on yet another on-time flight.

…to something else. Anything else.

Those with strong feelings were asked to respond with either #dontgochanging or #downwiththetrumpets.

And the #downwiththetrumpets have won. And look how #downwiththekids Ryanair are, with their Rizzle Kicks reference.

Now, what do we tweet to get rid of the clapping?

Ryanair needs new music to welcome people to their destinations.

All suggestions welcome in the comments section…
