THE ONE AND only Sharon Horgan was flying the flag for us Irish at the Emmys last night.

The writer and actress was nominated along with her Catastrophe co-star Rob Delaney for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series, and they both turned up looking fine as hell:

Rob’s mustache game was on point, as you can see.

The pair seemed to have a great night, posing up a storm with The Night Manager/Broadchurch actress Olivia Colman…

Answering questions about women and TV for Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls organisation…

…And providing the LOLs in the background of Jimmy Kimmel’s opening monologue.

Ultimately, Catastrophe lost out Netflix’s Master of None, written by Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang.

Horgan’s daughter echoed the thoughts of the country in this consolation text to her mother:

Hi mummy, dad just told me that you didn’t win! I’m so sad for you and I can’t believe u got beaten by a TV show about nuns! Master of Nuns what a load of RUBBISH

Well she didn’t lick it off the stones, did she? Commiserations Sharon and Rob, you’re winners in our eyes.
