BACK IN AUGUST, Kilkenny fan Jennifer Malone went viral after she was spotted consoling Waterford hurler Pauric Mahony after the teams’ epic All-Ireland semi-final replay in Thurles.
It’s one of the images of 2016 – showing everything that’s great about both sport and GAA.
Pauric got in touch with Jennifer shortly after with a lovely framed message
Naturally enough, at the Star GAA Awards in Croke Park last night, it was named as the Moment of the Championship
And it was there that Jennifer and Pauric were reunited for the first time since that day in August
Finally, they meet again.
This time, under much happier circumstances <3
