One of the most memorable of Father Ted’s supporting characters, Father Damo (Joe Rooney) was a ‘cool’ priest with an earring who lead Dougal down a rebellious path.
Fresh from an appearance on the Late Late Show last week, Longford band Brave Giant have enlisted Joe Rooney reprise the role of Father Damo in their new music video.
The clip explores what might have happened to him 21 years to the day he met Ted and Dougal (the Old Grey Whistle Theft aired on March 29, 1996) and he’s still a priest… Just not a very good one.
Would you be surprised that he’s gone down the Father Jack path?
