Irish lads' 'hashtag' conversation goes viral after Jimmy Fallon sketch

The comedy bit making fun of hashtags is now doing the internet rounds.

AN IRISH SKETCH comedy group is garnering some international attention after appearing to ‘inspire’ a Jimmy Fallon gag.

Fallon and his showbiz mate Justin Timberlake took part in a comedy bit for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon where they held an entire conversation using annoying hashtags.

It came to our attention though that Irish group Foil Arms and Hog had used a similar technique back in December:

Now the Irish video has made it to the front page of Viral Videos on Reddit, sparking a debate over whether or not the Fallon sketch was in fact inspired by the Foil Arms and Hog gang.

Their video has jumped to almost 30,000 views since appearing on Reddit.

We might be biased, but we think the Irish lads are funnier.
