SAY WHAT YOU want about Kim Kardashian, but she certainly supports Irish art.
Her is latest find is Galway artist Ellen McCann (AKA Nelle Illustrations), whose drawings were plastered all over Kim K’s website and app yesterday:
Kim has listed quite a few of Ellen’s illustrations as some of her “favourite fashion sketches ever” alongside two other artists, Hayden Williams and Ponyy Boyy.
Ellen told DailyEdge.ie that she previously had work featured on momager Kris Jenner’s Instagram, but recently received an email on behalf of Kim asking permission to use the drawings on her website and app.
“At first I thought it was a joke, but I soon realised it was real,” she said.
Not only that, Kim wanted my illustrations to be the leading artwork on her website. I must admit I was surprised that she chose my art to be the primary art over Hayden Williams and Ponyy Boyy, but excited nonetheless as it obviously shows that she really likes my work.
And the Kardashians aren’t the only celebs loving Ellen’s sketches – her other A-list fans include actress Lily Collins, model Chrissy Teigen, and Jennifer Lopez:
