WE’VE SEEN A lot of wrong number texts with funny and strange outcomes, so it’s lovely to see one work out so nicely.
Over the weekend, Deorick Williams from Florida found himself included in a family’s group chat about the birth of a new baby.
He tried to tell them that they had the wrong number…
But they kept sending him texts…
And eventually he decided to just go and visit the family in the hospital, bearing gifts for the baby.
The family were touched by the gesture, and posted a picture of them and their new friends gathered around the new mother’s hospital bed, writing:
What a blessing these two guys were to our family… You two are great guys and thank you for giving to someone you didn’t know! If we all only had this kind of heart.
Williams posted the texts and pictures on his own Facebook page – they’ve been shared over 175,000 times, and he’s getting praised all round for being a sound lad.
Ahhh. If only more wrong number texts turned out like this.
